For the Confirmation lesson, I was in the 6 Gold classroom with a couple of other kids. As a group, we talked about our Godparents and what is their role. We also talked about the expectations of ourselves in our school community and family and how we show those expectations. Can't wait for next week!
I was in 5 Gold's classroom with other kids and we talked about what God means to us and the roles we are expected to do in our community, family and school. We also did some activities in our Confirmation booklet.👏🏽
The significance of confirmation is an extension of Baptism but you get to make your own decisions. You also have a sponsor in confirmation and in baptism you just have you Godparents.
Confirmation is where you are accepting that you want to be a catholic and follow the catholic faith. You are confirming yourself what your god parents confirmed for you when you were baptised
I though that the first confirmation session we had was a great introduction to what we will be learning about in both at school and the actual sessions themselves
The confirmation class has really shown me the true meaning of confirmation, it is and introduction into the church as a adult. It also helped me pick my saint and my because I was having trouble picking one.
I had my first Confirmation on Wednesday 20th May. I was in 6G and my mum was a teacher. We talked about the good things about our families, and symbols of Baptism. Baptism and Confirmation come very close, and we show we understand the Catholic Faith. During Baptism, your godparents are asked to reply "I do" and "I will" to the Catholic Beliefs. When we are receiving our Confirmation, WE are asked to reply, so we are a part of the Catholic faith. We were set tasks to complete, and one was attending church. While I was at church, I payed very close attention, and noticed the Gospel Reading was nearly the same the one we studied during our class. It was a great class, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
It was a very interesting class and I learnt a lot about the significants of confirmation and what we should become through it.We also learnt about why we are being confirmed and why we chose to be confirmed.
Confirmation is when you are confirmed and accepted as an adult in the church, when you become closer to God. You choose a saint to be your Gardian .
