At the beginning of the year, Year 6 went on an excursion to Berry Sport and recreation. This is what some of Year 6 enjoyed:

I like going on the tubes and kayaking in the river. “Brody”

I enjoyed participating in all of the outdoor activities and interacting with everyone in our year. “Ethan”

My favourite activity was playing games at nighttime, especially ‘Berry Battlefield’. “Anna”

I enjoyed canoeing in the river with my friends. “Narvana”

NAIDOC Week 5th - 12th July 2015

In the school holidays we will celebrate NAIDOC week. NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee. NAIDOC week is held in the first full week of July. It’s a time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements and it is also an opportunity to recognise the contributions that Indigenous Australians make to our country and our society. This year’s theme is We All Stand On Sacred Ground: Learn, Respect and Celebrate. In class we have been creating artwork to be displayed around our school, to show our support for NAIDOC week.
