On Friday we celebrated the Feast of the Sacred
Heart of Jesus. The Feast of the Sacred is a moveable feast, this means that it
depends on the date of Easter Sunday. It’s celebrated 19 days after Pentecost
Sunday, which falls on the 50th day of Easter. In the morning we had
a whole school Mass and one student from each class was awarded the St Columbkille’s
awards by Father richard. Then we went to Towradgi Park for St Columbas Feast
Day. We participated in lots of different activities, some were oz tag, sand
drawing and dress up relays. For lunch the schools PC&F put on a sausage
sizzle and we all got an ice block. It was a fun day and I’m sure everyone had
a good day!
